Perfect size. Looks gorgeous with that bow front. The lid is easy on off, has a bright bright light with a switch on the cord so easy to turn on and off. The filter works great ! Flow of water is smooth. Very sturdy tank.

Just the right size for a betta. The light is a bit weak so I upgraded it. So far the pump is working well. I added a sponge on the intake to increase the bio filtration and protect my betta from getting sucked in. Overall I'd say it's good for the price.

I’ve been raising fish for 60 yrs & chose this for my granddaughter’s first tank. Easily set-up & initialized with included declorinator. Ordered a “Fumark” 20 watt heater to keep the betta at 80°, an excellent buy with out-of-tank temperature control & display. The replacement filter media are $1.79 each (a month) so complaints that filtering “costs too much” is overstated.Haven’t found a downside yet other than the hole at the back that an active fish might jump thru.

I bought two of the 2.5g tanks. They look nice and they’re fine, just make sure when you’re setting it up you put your water and sand/substrate in first because when I was adding mine and because it was still in suspension and some got stuck in the propeller and stopped working. I didn’t realize what was wrong until I took the cap off.

I started out with a 2 1/2 gallon tank and used it for over two years. This one is exactly like it but twice as big. A five gallon take is still small but I love aquariums and do not have room for a larger one. With its quick water change it is very easy to maintain. It is acrylic, very strong, clear view, no leaks, the filter pump provides strong filtration, and has a very nice overall look. I did learn from my first acrylic tank that you need to be careful how you clean it. Acrylic can be scratched more easily than glass and some cleaning agents can make the surface very hazy. You can google how to clean an acrylic tank and find a lot of information. The filter pump does need to be taken apart and cleaned maybe three or four times a year to keep it running smoothly. It is easy to take out of the tank and disassemble, clean and replace. The pump, when properly cleaned, should last you for years. If your pump stops it is probably because there is a build up of minerals that freezes the motor - that is an easy fix. I have had zero problems, just do not overstock it.

I want to love this tank, but the filtration system seems a little under powered. We only have one beta fish in this tank (just 1 fish) and the algae still builds up quickly and we have to clean the tank way more often than any other tank I’ve ever had. So that’s a bummer, but otherwise it’s cute.

I wasn’t expecting this tank to be such good quality! Everything is working phenomenal so far and my daughter’s betta fish loves it. 😊 Very affordable compared to buying the tank, filter and lights separately.

Unwrapped product. Paperwork said set aside cup that you would empty dirty water into. There wasn't any. Looking back at the product description on Amazon site, the cup was not mentioned. Okay. So, proceeded to set up kit. Pump did not work at all. Yes, I read and understood the directions. Apparently, the company has had so many people call in, they have a pat answer for the pump issue. The water has to be all the way to the top ledge for it to work. So, I have revised my review. Thank goodness for the company trouble shooting hotline. Why this wasn't included in the instructions...
